My husband and I frequently watch films at The Screen which one might call an "art house". It shows award-winning movies from around the world, ones that are rarely shown at regular movie theaters. Most recently we saw "The Reluctant Fundamentalist". The theater not only offers excellent choices, but also has very comfortable seats and better-than-average snack choices. For out... More

For a small city, Santa Fe has a bunch of movie options. The Screen is a repertory theater, meaning it shows some interesting films that you won't find in the main stream locations. I saw the German film "Barbara" there and it was a very enjoyable experience. You can get fresh coffee and some other stuff in the lobby. This... More

Great little theater that you'd never expect to be there. We saw a wonderful indpendent film, and the concessions are excellent. Would definitely go again!

Got "hooked" on The Screen during a film noir marathon, and have enjoyed the wonderful films ever since. This is a definite "hidden gem".

this facility located on the campus of an art college, shows foreign and independent films. It can be a little hard to find on first visit so go early. They usually have a weekly line upon 3-4 features. The lobby has a small concession stand, but no fresh made popcorn. The films I have been to so far (maybe 4)... More

FIVE STARS to the Screen! Absolutely the best cinema in Northern New Mexico. Great sound, comfy seats, and excellent projection...not to mention the on spot programming for anyone looking for the latest indie or foreign films. Staffed by some of the nicest, film-savvy people around. A big step up from your run-of-the-mill refreshments, too. Why spend time at a chain... More

Unlike many commercial houses, this campus based locale has banked rows of seats allowing good viewing of the variety of showings. Documentaries and "art house film" with occasional first run films. We are here about three or four times a month. Check out passes which are cheaper per film showing, sold in six film sets. This is a real small... More

This spectacular theater presents a full gambit of international and domestic independent films. Located on the old College of Santa Fe Campus, it is one of the best theaters I have frequented and I include New York and San Francisco. It is spacious, immaculate with great seats. The front desk and projection employees are students with strong film backgrounds.
