Well worth the stop to hear the story and see the workmanship of the staircase. It's convenient to everything downtown so easy to add in as a side trip from galleries and shopping.
This is a very small chapel, privately owned now and there is a $3 admission. The staircase is indeed a miracle--so supporting structure at all. Quite a nice story to go along with the stairway.
Chapel was built in the 1850's. The miraculous staircase is worth seeing. It was the subject of a national network tv special and certainly makes you think. $3 entry fee. I have enclosed photos before the railings as it was originally built and after as it is now.
Beautiful little chapel with some lovely stained glass. The stairs are very graceful and well worth the price of admission to see.

You should NOT miss this chapel and the staircase !! It's truly a miracle that this structure could me made in the way it was !! A must see !!

Not much to say about the Loretto Chapel besides the stairs, which is totally worth the admission to see and experience. Fascinating.
