Excellent museum with interesting artifacts and historical pieces. The gift shop is one of the best ever. I saw an incredible cachina doll that was from the 50's.....and priced accordingly at $1500....but worth it if you want the real thing!!

Most informative about the creation of this archival museum and the era it reveals. The docent was so pleasant and helpful and the museum store had excellent pieces to consider.

This museum is free and donation based. The woman who was at the front desk gave us the greatest little talk about the museum's history. This is a really well designed little museum with great exhibits and a nice "trading post." The volunteer staff was particularly warm and friendly.

Located on Museum Hill but set slightly apart, the Wheelwright is always a great stop. We love this American Indian museum. Mostly because the Indian people have such respect for it. Their exhibitions are fascinating and their gift shop is OMG! Nothing phony about it. Be sure to spend some outdoor time, too.

An educational tribute to the indians and much needed explanation of these special people. I am so humbled by the history of these people. They are a rich part of our history and we should understand the story and this museum does that.
