Since it was a hot day, we saw the coupon for one free admission and thought what a good idea. We got there and it was totally free for both of us since it was free museum day or something like that. It would have worth it even to pay full price. Enjoyed the building and views from upstairs. The... More

The SA Museum of Art is another gem in a great city. Easier to find than the McNay (also a must see for the art lover) it is located along the upper Riverwalk just North of downtown. The museum is housed in another converted brewery (also see the Pearl) and offers a nice selection of art from several periods from... More

Pretty extensive collection of art from all over the world. Quality of the pieces varies but overall worth a trip and about 3 hours of viewing time (for a quick once over). Good collection of contemporary American art and paintings.

The contemporary art is mostly local and a must see for anyone interested in art. Great little gift shop too.

A beautiful museum with a variety of items from various cultures and time periods. The best and most interesting history museum I've been to. $10 admission for adults which was well worth the price.

This museum was huge! We spent several hours looking at all the exhibits and still did not finish. They have quite a variety (time frames and cultures) of items on display. We visit museums in most of the cities we visit, and this is one of the best.

We included this in a trip to the Pearl Brewery by river taxi and it was well worth it. It had good exhibits and reasonably priced.

And half the fun is getting there if you take a river taxi. Compact in size but big on quality. We expected to drop by for an hour or so and ended up staying at least two hours. Most beautiful Tang horse I've ever seen and everything very well done. Take the river taxi one stop up afterwards and eat... More

Everything was great, only down side was restaurant was closed for renovations, but not much control over that. Great Exhibits, and helpful staff, very knowledgeable and took time to really go into detail on displays. Must see
