Two miles south of Old Tucson Movie Studios, nestled in some of the most beautiful, untouched Sonoran Desert wilderness in all of Arizona, stands what looks like a relic from the Old West. It’s softly creaking metal sign, swinging gently in the wind, faded by the relentless Arizona sun welcomes people from all over the world to what is, arguably,... More

We had so much fun poking around this store. It is chock full of every kind of rock or mineral you can imagine. Definitely stop by here on your way to either Old Tucson or the Desert Museum. We picked out several souvenirs and when we went to pay the owner gave us half of our stuff for free. More

My 9 year old daughter absolutely loved this place!!!! He has an unbelievable collection of gems, minerals and every other artifact you can possibly imagine. The owner is a very interesting man. He seems to cater to children, and his generosity was remarkable!!! If you are visiting Tucson, this is a must visit! More

This is an old shop with a huge range of specimens for sale, including mineral samples, rocks, petrified wood and some native american artifacts. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. More

The proprietor was friendly, the collections were interesting (especially for rock hounds), and the skulls by the front door were really cool. Worth a stop if it's on your route. More

I love and appreciate rocks, antiques and unusual collectibles. This is by far the most unusual shop I've ever encountered. You have to take your time, pay attention, look up and look around! We were lucky to go late in the day, it wasn't too busy and the owner Ron, was in the mood to share stories. Wow! He is... More

Based on the Trip Advisor reviews I had read about this place I made it a point to visit Tucson Mineral and Gem World during my recent trip to Tucson. And just as the other reviewers have said, "the other reviews are RIGHT!" This place is absolutely fantastic! The owner (and his dogs) are totally enjoyable and genuinely kind and... More

We passed by this store on the way to the Desert Museum, and made a note to stop on the way back, as my 4 year old son is a budding geologist. What a great decision. My youngest fell asleep on the way, so my husband and son went in alone. They were in there for about 25 minutes and... More

I can't say enough about our visit to Tucson Mineral and Gem World. The store has a lot of different petrified woods, rocks, gems, about anything you can imagine. As a 45 year old I was fascinated, but the real GEM of the store is the time that the owner takes to teach you and your family about the various... More

I went on a rockshop tour of Tucson. This shop was by far the best. Small but what a treasure trove inside. The owners are very knowledgeable and friendly. It is definitely on my places to visit again whenever I go to Tucson. Mostly crystal specimens, marked with origin (definitely a plus for collectors). More
