Not bad for kids, with lots of hands-on exhibits, but adults will get bored pretty quick. The planetarium is 'old school' but probably great for the students to program run. Best part is the night viewing at the observatory telescope. More

The last I heard the Flandrau observatory had been closed to the public. I'd be delighted if it is open again, especially for the Christmas season programs. More

“Star gazing through observatory telescope”

Worth visiting one evening to view sky through telescope. Small museum. Kids like the displays. It's been a while since I've visited so maybe displays have improved. Would think the university should invest more in this as there are few places where the star gazing is so spectacular. More
