My husband and I really enjoyed the boardwalk and birds at the birding center. Do not miss it and the cost is free. More

We always visit here. It's fun to watch the birds. We have actually seen the huge alligator before. Quite fun More

The city and volunteers who maintain this Center deserve a lot of credit for their work. Although the location, on your first trip here, makes you wonder what you're getting into, you soon find yourself enjoying the many species of birds - and alligator if you're lucky enough to see one. Great birder site. More

This was the first stop of my 4 days of birding in the Corpus/Port Aransas area. I ended up checking it out every day of my trip, sometimes twice a day. The waterfowl were very close, which made for great photography. Some species seen: Wilson's warbler, common yellowthroat, pelican, roseate spoonbill, shoveler, grebe, widgeon, northern pintail, blue and green-winged teal,... More

Wheelchair accessible. Sunrise and sunset are the best times for viewing and photography. Alligator is more active in the warmer months but will still make a showing in winter periodically. Rosiette Spoonbills, Northern shovelbills, Ibis, skimmers, Pelicans ((white and brown)), grebes, teals, etc... More

I knew it was small so I tried not to expect too much. We went around 11 today, which was pretty warm, and not necessarily ideal for bird watching. There was a surprisingly large number of birds out! Also we saw a few crabs in the water and a turtle. There are free telescope kind of viewing spots that let... More

We went on a cool and cloudy day. Not big, but a nice little walk along the garden and then the boardwalk. We enjoyed it and saw some turtles and crabs walking in the water. Did not see any alligators, but saw lots of birds. More

I’m not a big on bird watching, but while we were in area we decided to stop by and check out the place. It was very enjoyable. Here is the exact address of Birding Center. 1399 Ross Ave Port Aransas, Tx 78373 More

We like to stop here every summer. Some will really enjoy this and others might not. There's a long boardwalk out into marshland where you watch birds, and other animals. Sometimes you will get to see the alligator. I would recommend going here at least once to see what its all about. More
