I've gone to the Discovery Gateway a few times with my brother and his five children. Their ages range from 2 to 11 and all of them have a really great time there. My brother purchased a family pass which made it more affordable for him to go often when he's in Salt Lake. Every section of the center provides...

We loved the Discovery Gateway so much we held an annual pass for years, even though we lived an hour away. We've been dozens of times, and our kids never tired of the activities. Discovery Gateway has a multitude of creative, enriching activities for every age and interest. I highly recommend it.

I went there with my 2-year-old on New Year's Day. It was a Sunday as well and the place was not too crowded. My child loved the chute with the balls in the first room and water works in the main one downstairs. He played for 4 hours without getting bored. The place is fun and exciting but only if...

We took my grandson there last month and he never stopped running from one section to another. It is not a "huge" place so it is easy to keep an eye on the small ones if you want to have a seat for a few minutes. Very fun and educational!

My advice on this museum would be to wait until your child has a field trip and you get to go for free. I went with my 3rd grader just a few weeks ago and we'd been once before when she was in 1st grade. It's a fine place, with things that could occupy kids from ages 2-10. The boys...

This IS a place for kids-adults are just along for the ride. For 2-7 year olds, it's a great place to explore on their own. Yes, it may seem in disarray sometimes but the kids are being watched by staff and they clean up but hard to keep up with the mess kids do make. I would not compare this...

OK, I have been to 5 children's museums with my 4 kids. Sadly, I have to say this one ranks at the bottom of the list which is unfortunate since SLC has so many kids per capita. The exhibits are generally only so-so. The highlight is the helicopter but the beehiveish and water exhibits are OK. The children's museum in...

Considering we have such a large population of children you would expect more. The only time I ever go is for birthday parties. This place is over priced, poor classes and geared towards the preschool population. Your money is much better spent travelling to any other museum in Salt Lake.

I thought this would be like a science museum where the emphasis is on stuff for kids but there's a little something for Mom and Dad too, but no this is purely for the kids. I have no problem with that but I do have a problem with charging adults $8.50. The kids price of $6.00 seems reasonable but to...
