I just completed a 7 week beginning kayak class through Peninsula College and Olympic Raft & Kayak. I would highly recommend the class to anyone wanting to learn to kayak. We went to Crescent Lake and Freshwater Bay. The equipment was first rate and we were able to try different styles of kayaks and safety gear. The new owner is... More

The staff at Olympic Raft and Kayak were exceptional from the time I booked the reservation all the way to the conclusion of our rafting experience. The staff are quite organized and we stayed dry and warm with the rain gear and wet suits that we rented for the morning. The guides are quite knowledgeable. Our guide was Emily and... More

We took our family on a rafting trip down the Sol Duc river during July 2011. The guides were super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful to get us all outfitted with proper gear to deal with the frigid water. It is definitely worth it to rent the extra clothing (wetsuit or rain gear). The water us 40 degrees and you WILL... More

My husband and 2 teen sons were very excited about going on this rafting trip; I was nervous! The owner patiently calmed some of my fears on the phone ahead of time, and our guide was fabulous in setting me at ease. We had a wonderful morning trip, with rapids that were lively enough to add some excitement and not... More

This was my first rafting experience and was such a great time. The guides were friendly and made sure we were having fun while on the water. This is such a fantastic way to see the Olympic Peninsula, and is perfect for the whole family. Nothing too technical or challenging, although you will definitely get wet. Olympic Raft and Kayak... I would definitely recommend Olympic Raft & Kayak. The owner Dave was very friendly and helpful when making our reservations. He also gives you a discount if you kayak and raft! We kayaked in Freshwater Bay with our guide, Dave, who was very knowledgable about the area and the sea life. Definitely bring your camera for the tidepools, sea lions... More

My husband and I had an awesome trip rafting on the Elwha River. Wes and Heather were our guides and were very knowledgeable about the local flora and fauna as well as some history of the area. They were also extremely helpful in working around my husband's disabilities while getting in and out of the raft as well as during... More

Dave at Olympic Raft and Kayak has the longest running rafting and kayak company on the Peninsula. His raft trips are outstanding. His guides are personable and very safety conscious. He has the largest stock of raft and kayaks of any outfitter in the area. He does the Elwha and Hoh River rafting trips and offers guided sea kayak trips... More
