If you are going for an evening play, expect to pay for it! They think highly of their theatre. Although all the plays we have been to have been great. We really enjoy the GrandKids series that they have available to the kids during the school year. We homeschool and this has been a great addition to our school year.... More

Stopped by and Asked if we could see inside, Bob was gracious enough to not only allow us inside but provided us the history of this beautiful building.

Love the small intimate atmosphere at the Grand. Wish more acts would come. The sound quality is good, and every seat has a good view. The rows are quite close together which can make sitting for a long time uncomfortable. Decor reminds you of The Fox Theater in Atlanta.

Attendent let us watch last 10 minutes of a musical from rear corner, after we said we just wanted to peak inside auditorium. Great sound.

This theater has been beautifully restored to now showcase many different kinds of entertainment. I grew up in Macon and it was a movie theater then. Parking is free and close. A nice alternative to the Fox in Atlanta.

We've enjoyed several shows here and always have a great time. I do with there was a way to choose seats when buying tix online - being right up against the stage isn't so great for dance programs, but you just gotta roll the dice...

It is a beautiful historical opera house. A must see when you are in Macon. Ask about the Houdini trap door!

The Grand in Macon is a wonderfully old and posh opera house that has hosted just about every act imaginable over the years. The Christmas Season will bring individual artists while Broadway acts will roll thru most of next year. There's also not a bad seat in the house.
