The museum is very small and the permanent display is quite limited. They do some excellent special exhibitions, though. I saw the one on Georgia chain gangs from the 1930s and it was superb.

I participated in a series of learning events at the Tubman. I learned about the Craft Couple who made history during the Civil War. I have lived in Middle Georgia for years and appreciated the opportunity to learn about people I had never heard of.
More facts are crammed into this little museum than one can imagine. A fine tribute to a most interesting life.
took the kids here now they know about african roots and what there grandparent went though the lady working was soo nice answered all there questions no matter how big thank you for all your staffs time we will be back:)
This museum deserves commentary. It has noteworthy memorabilia from the era of Harriet Tubman as well as items featuring her role as the Conductor of the Underground Railroad.
