We took the trip one afternoon in April. Our kayaks were excellent and the pre-trip briefing was very professional. Our guide was knowledgeable and very attentive -- he even prepared coffee and tea for us on the beach in front of Cathedral Cove. Lots of fun! More

Wow, what a spectacular day out. Greeted on the beach by a big happy smile, an eager attitude and an excitement as if it was the first time he was doing the trip. The guide (Mark) had wonderful facts about the whole area including the fish, the rock markings and some awesome tantalizing kiwi legends. Saying this, he also allowed... More

For a first time experience it was well paced, the guides met the needs of all participants. There was a range of water experience, local knowledge / stories and natural physical features to share. The size of the group was very manageable and meant that everyone seemed to have some individual attention from the guides. Guides experienced and equipment in... More

This was the highlight of our two week trip around the north island. Great sea kayaking experience on the Coromandel coast with spectacular scenery and wildlife. Excellent introduction to kayaking for beginners with basic safety instruction before you start, and you are accompanied by an experienced guide who tells you about the geology, animal and plant life, and Maori cultural... Thanks Chuck, you are right.. it is a great place to kayak or walk and definitely one not to be missed. The good news is that it doesn't have to be low tide to visit Stingray Bay or Cathedral Cove.. both are accessible at all tides every day! Many thanks for your post. More

I had originally planned to do the Sunset Kayak Tour but due to lack of numbers it wasn't going ahead so I joined a late afternon tour instead. Finding the place was pretty simple; straight to Hahei beach and the guys have a stand on the beach by the car park (make sure you go to Hahei carpark, not up... More

A friend and I did the Cathedral Cove Kayak tour and loved it! The scenery was beautiful and our guide, Mike, was very informative telling us about the area and its history. We pulled up onto Cathedral Cove for about 1/2 hour and took a swim while Mike made our cappucinos! Overall this trip was amazing and well worth the... More
