This is a cool train, and the scenery was nice (not Silverton, Colorado though - as I agree with another reviewer) but the history here is what could be capitalized on and it wasn't. The PA system was not working very well - we could only hear a word here and there of what the woman on the speaker system... More

Enjoyed the views from Hill City to Keystone. We saw deer and woodchucks! Railcar was quite comfortable but it was difficult to hear some narration over the trains whistle and noise. A good way to spend a couple of hours. More

We enjoyed our train ride, BUT, we were expecting more. In Silverton, Colorado (we live nearby), we have a train ride which will knock you back on your heels! The scenery in South Dakota cannot be made different, but unfortunately we expected more. On the more positive side, the conductor was very friendly and we enjoyed his humor & knowledge... More

Oh what a ride on the train can do. We went on the Holiday Express - took the whole family - loved it! It's not a thrill ride....more of a liesurely joy ride. More

We have taken this trip several times and each time it has been fun and relaxing. This is a great attraction when you are traveling with children and older adults. The train is clean and comfortable. The scenery is delightful. You can sit and relax and have your worries and your achy feet melt away. More

This is a fun, short ride on an authentic train-we have been on this at different points of our lives and the area the train goes through is getting developed more and more. The ride is still neat, one of the best parts is that is goes back and forth between Keystone and HIll City, so you can get on... More
