My wife and I visited the Jimmy Carter Library this week and had a good time. The museum is smaller and less extensive than ones like the JFK one in Boston. It's a humble museum for a President that as he stated was proud to come from average beginnings. The property around the museum is nice and relaxing to walk... More

Especially if you are a Jimmy Carter fan! The library, like the man, is unassuming, but packed full of information, not packed with accolades like so many Presidential Libraries. It's the right tone and detail for people interested in how our country works, and for how we relate to the world.

I am mostly a fan of Carter as an ex-president & not as president, but I did enjoy the center & learned something about his presidency I didn't know. There also is much about his life after the presidency that was worthwhile & impressive. Like most presidential museums/libraries the story glosses over mistakes & failures while celebrating their time in... More

We've been on a quest to see all the Presidential Libraries and of the ones we've seen so far (8 of the 13) Carter's has the most beautifully designed gardens and property. FDR's in Hyde Park is fabulous, as well, but more of a natural state that has been that way for years. Carter's is a great example of what... More

Jimmy Carter has such an interesting life. He and his wife, Rosalyn, and their accomplishments - their love for human beings and those in less fortunate circumstances demonstrate Christ's love for people and the good that mankind can accomplish if he operates out of love. It doesn't matter if you are conservative, liberal, a donkey or an elephant - This... More

My husband & I lived through this history so we loved it. Very informative on his early years. The video presentation comes with tons spin on his Presidency achievements. Well worth a visit to see the presidency exhibits especially the Shah of Iran's gifts. there is also a mock up of the Oval office under Carter so that was great... More

Not easy to get to, but worth the trek, whatever your political leanings. The library is a wealth of history and presents different shows all the time. No still cameras are allowed, but video is fine. Not the most expensive trip, but not the cheapest either. Well worth it though !

If you ever want to know about contemporary world matters you should visit the Carter Center. This place provides great information for the history buff and passive observer alike.

A great way to learn history. Interesting visiting a presidential library for a living ex-president who is so active. Much of the museum is dedicated to post-presidential work.

In April, the grounds of the Library and Museum were beautiful, lush with tulips and pansies. The museum provided a glimpse of the Carters and the humanitarian work that they have done since his Presidency. The cafe provided a very inexpensive light lunch with a tasty soup and salad for less than $5.00.
