We loved this place. The introductory film well deserves the may awards it has won. There are lovely exhibits on the history of farming in VT & history of conservation. There's a short tour of the most unique house we've ever seen (& we've toured quite a few here & there). Several outbuildings contain farm wagons & such. The short... More

One of the best farms I have visited. The cow milking demostration is very informative. The herd managers know everything about the cows and the cows are trated very well. They have a small nursury with new born calfs. Great place for kids!

Billings Farm and Museum is located within walking distance (1/4 mile) from downtown Woodstock and is certainly worth the price of admission. Billings Farm is an operational farm with horses, sheep, cows, chickens and other animals. The have tour guides who will lead you through all the steps needed to keep the farm operational e.g. milking the cows, sheering sheep,... More

Billings Farm and Museum is actually two attractions. A working farm that is a private operation and the Billings National Historical Park which is run by the US Park Service. You can buy a joint ticket which get you into both. The historical park consists mainly of a beautiful mansion constructed in the Queen Anne style in the middle 1800's.... More

My 2 year old loved getting the chance to pet cows and horses and run in the huge meadows here! The staff is very informative and friendly, too.

Initially not the top stop on my list of things to do in Woodstock but I really enjoyed it. The farm is impressively clean and the staff are passionate about sharing what they love. My favorite bits were the farmhouse, watching Sue (the horse) get new shoes and the little lambs (whose fleece was white as snow)!

I had been to Woodstock before, but never knew this place was there. This is a spectacular farm on the edge of a spectacular little Vermont town with an amazing story. This is actually considered to be the birthplace of managed forestry in the USA. I got there late in the day, so it was too late to take a... More

We went during their special “Baby Animal” presentation. Loved seeing the baby lambs, calves, ducklings and chicks. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing the beautiful gentle giant draft horses. We just wanted to give them apples and carrot treats. What a wonderful celebration of Spring 
