Climbed the mountain using the switchbacks and came down using the road. Great views from the top. Some nice benches on top to view the town of Woodstock below.

This is a fun, easy walk on a trail that zig-zags. It's bit narrow and precarious as you near the very top but very kid-friendly otherwise. Great view at top!

We go to Woodstock at least once a year and these days usually stay at the Woodstock Inn. Standing in front of the Inn you see Mt. Tom directly in front. We climb Mt. Tom almost every year through old trees, snowshoeing in the years when that's required. It's about a 500 foot ascent, a pretty nice walk. We were... More

So near the village and walkable with great signage, yet so few folks tend to walk into the National Park and up this hill, as it is really not a mountain. In winter you can snow shoe the trails, in height of the fall you would be amazed that when the village is so packed with visitors, here you will... More

A steady uphill walk on a snowy road through beautiful woods was rewarded with gorgeous view of Woodstock. Plan to come back in season to view the mansion and see the seasons.

This is one of the area's treasures. An easily accessible trail system with a variety of distances and difficulties. Some were designed as carriage trails and so don't have very steep inclines. Beautiful views across the village and down valleys. Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing when there is snow. Dogs (on leash) and horses allowed when there is not. A really... More

Nice hike to top, not overly steep, good views. Would recommend for some decent exercise. Bring a lunch and have it at the top.

Hiked to top of Mt Tom, just outside of Woodstock. Fairly easy hike, not too stressful. A good way to get some excercise with nice views of the surrounding countryside.

Nice walk to the top which got us breathing a bit. Nice views from the top. The walk through the town was also interesting as there a lot of great looking houses to pass by, and the view though/from the wooden bridge is worth a picture or two.
