Visited beautiful downtown church near the state Capitol. Took self-guided tour. Brochure provided detailed information about each window and its history. Enjoyed noting the various types of windows and how they varied based on the studio where they were produced. Information also detailed how the Tiffany windows had changed with more detailed facial features in the newer windows. Would certainly... More

the staff were very helpful and welcoming, brouchure (free) describes the history of the church and all of the stained glass windows. take as many photgraphs as you wish, and sit in the seats used by Jefferson Davies and Robert Lee. The tiffany stained glass windows are fantastic to anyone with a civil war interest, right next to State Capitol... More

Beautiful historic church where both Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee worshiped. Sit in Pew 63 (they're marked) where on April 2, 1865 Jefferson Davis learned that Robert E. Lee could no longer defend Richmond. There are incredible stained glass windows in this Church from Tiffany and others. Most of the windows have both religious and Civil War connotations. For... After paying for parking, this northern family visited St. Pauls on December 22nd. We thought the church was exceptionally well-kept. The stained-glass windows added much beauty to the church. It was also being all dulled-up by volunteers for Christmas services. Enjoyed visiting a church where Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee worshiped. Again another Richmond site that reeks of history... Beautiful church in the heart of downtown Richmond. You can see where Jefferson Davis and Robert E. Lee worshipped. Their pews are marked and easy to find. Many other historical features can be found. The pipe organ is very impressive as are the stained glass windows. Whether traveling by car of foot the church is easy to find. More
