$2 movies? You've got to be kidding! So they're not-quite-current runs - what's your hurry, anyway? Go on a Saturday night for the late show. That's all I'm gonna say - trust me, have I ever misled you before? More

I enjoy going to the byrd theater. I went there for a comic night a little bit back to help raise money for renovations and had such a great time. The inside is beautiful! More

Been around for 83 years, seats not the greatest, has a Dolby Digital sound system that is only a few years old, the huge auditorium works against it a little. A sight to behold More

Eat in Carytown before you go. Popcorn/beverages are upwards of $12-15. Not kidding so get some local food down at Basilis, Galaxy, Can Can (fancier), NY Deli, etc. This theater, however, is BEAUTIFUL. $1.99 movie tickets that have been out for a while but it's a good in between theater to catch thtme before they go to DVD. You have... More

Sticky seats, loud people, old movies, bad sound quality, horrible smell...etc. Cheap tickets were the only good thing I could list. More

Love to hear Bob play the awesome organ they have and since the theatre was built in 1928 it is awesome landmark in Richmond. Seats are old and hurt your tush after awhile but movie tickets for $1.99 and reasonable concession fare rapped up in a jump back in time is soooooooooooooooo cool. More

Seats are not as comfortable as a modern theater, but the popcorn is much better. Good for date night out, or a movie with the family. The theater is beautifully decorated and a sight to be seen in its own right. Parking is the only issue in Carytown. More

The theater is awesome with amazing interiors. Just visit there once at least. And this will not cost you much as the movies there are like $1 or $2 only :) The downside is the seating. The seats are very close and so you need to really squeeze in. even the foot-room is not even near to good. I am... More

The Byrd is always a good time for a night out! its affordable, beautiful, and in a great part of town. The ONLY thing I will say is please remember it is a very old theater so the seats arent the MOST comfy and the sound system is a little old, but its a fun experience More
