We enjoyed this museum, like our other museums, it is excellent. There is so much too see. You will love it.

For more than a century, the Valentine Richmond History Center has celebrated one of America’s most historic cities with exhibitions, educational programs,city tours, extensive collections and archives, and the restoration of the Wickham House (1812). Enjoy lunch at Sally Bell’s at the History Center (Monday-Friday) and shop at the Valentine Gift Shop (open daily).

not much here - dark and hardly exciting - garden is beautiful but only accessible on nice days, otherwise you are left with the dark interior

This is a Richmond museum and there is a lot of history about Richmond here. Would recommend you take the guided tour.

Quite an interesting museum, and an easy walk from the Museum of the Conferdacy, so the two of them would make a nice 'museum morning.'
Lots of dispays on local history, (photos, artifacts, ads, etc.) and a few surprises. (A fascinating display, in the basement, about the Red Cross. Not sure if it's a temporary exhibit, or permanent.) I was...
