The shop alone is worth visiting, for it's clever architecture. There was a good selection of Icelandic goods in the shop, a very pleasant shopping experience. We did not have time to eat in the restaurant, but I've heard it's very good. More

If you don't know much about how Iceland became settled or their sagas then this a great stop to get some context as you travel north out of Reykjavik.
