This was an information museum , but since on time restriction I had only moments to spare, if you have time take time to go through . Interesting
Great way to spend a few hours looking back upon some amazing American history.
I found this museum to be very informative in brushing up on the history of the dams creation after my visit to the dam itself even though our tour representative Jody of Comedy On Board Tours had most if not all of the history locked in her brain & shared it throughout the trip. It was good however to see... More
We stopped for breakfast here on our way through to the Grand Canyon. It was all prearranged by the Comedy on Deck Tour company and it was delicious, hot and fresh. The hotel is a step back in time and Boulder City is quaint quiet. Would love to come back and visit longer to see the history
Boulder City was established in order to provide lodging for men building the Hoover Dam. We stayed at the Boulder Dam Hotel and they gave us free entrance to the Museum, which is in the same building. We were pleasantly surprised at what a nice museum is was. It's not real big but has a nice film about the dam... More
We pulled into Boulder City on our way to the dam full of anticipation after reading the reviews, but alas, although the two shops there were open, the museum was closed. There was a glass window in the locked door. We could see a counter inside, and behind that there was a sign with the admission fees posted, but it... More
The museum is located in the Boulder Dam Hotel on Arizona Street in downtown Boulder City. The museum is an ideal size for travelers and those who have children. You can spend 15 minutes in there, or 2 hours, depending how much time you have. It is very inexpensive, a few bucks a person, and a great way to learn... More
$31 for whole tour, I think $16 for part tour and $8 for a minimal tour. Nice to walk across the tour and visit the gift shop. You are also able to walk across the new bridge. Careful coming from Vegas as only one little sign that says Hoover Dam at exit 2. We missed it and ended up in... More
The Last year I was there was 1988 and things sure changed --vast improvements that make it an ideal site to visit--with a New Visitors Center and even without going in it. View of New bridge from Dam site IS startling . Only dissappointment was one could not see the canyon or bridge in driving a car across new bridge,... More
The Hoover Dam Museum is well worth the admission. Marvel at the government project that finished under budget and on time! You'll be amazed at the sheer size and determination of the workers to construct this huge structure.
