It was very interesting place to visit. The ruins are really impressive and there are excellent explanations everywhere. You can find a nice museum in the monastery's cellar showing beautiful religious artifacts. The giftshop gives also a very good opportunity to buy some beer and cheese "from the source". More

Very peaceful. Really impressive ruins, fascinating history. You can't visit the brewery but a nice presentation on the beer and process. But it really is the ruins of the cathredal that are worth visiting. More

The beautifull abbey is tucked away in the south of the Ardennes, near the border of France. As soon as you arrive you will enjoy the beautiful nature and serene atmosphere of the surroundings. You can only enter the excellent gift shop, the ruins and the upper level of the church, but this place is worth going out of your way to see. Very, very beautiful! After you visit, stop across the road at the restaurant with patio for some Orval Trappist Beer, yum! More
