The Skiwelt is a great area for skiers of all abilities with hundreds of km of ski runs. We have visited this area many times, initially with our children and now on our own as a couple. Whilst we preferred Ellmau as beginners we preferred Soll once we had moved up to intermediate sking. We normally travel with Inghams who... More

My review focuses on the skiing available based from the village of Soll but not the miss out, the village is small, very traditional and friendly. There’s a good après ski and nightlife without too much noise or fuss. Prices are good. The bus link to the ski area is excellent if you are based in the town centre. More... More

We went to söll in feb 2012. Town is very picturesque. I think we went the wrong time as it was family week but from what we saw there wasn't alot of night life. We mainly went to the Red Horse and Salven Stadl and they were good but never very busy. Red Horse hada no smoking bar which is... More

I heard lots of negative things about Soll. Full of drunk British middle aged men, rains in the resort etc.... On the whole Soll is not longer party central, yes it has some good bars but generally it is lively as with most Austrian resorts. Many resorts in Austria are trying to lose the beer monster reputation imported by the... More

The resort of soll in the Tirol used to be attractive and typically tyrolean. Parts of this traditional village can still be glimpsed between the cranes, diggers, mud-filled lorries, traffic and building sites. A new main road is under construction, a large lake is being dug out at the back of the closed down swimming pool, hotels and farms have... More
