Nice varied slopes offering wide open skiing for novices and challenging off piste and alpine skiing for the more advanced. We went in March and it wasn't too busy once you had got up there. However the queues for the main Penkenbahn lift are LONG! We found it was best to wait until 09:30-10:00 to avoid them. More

Whether you ski or just apres ski Penken is great. Elch Bar provides a stylish place to enjoy a bevvy & marvel at the view. Whereas the Pilzbar had more of a party atmosphere going on both great so the choice is yours More

For lunch, go to the Gschwandhaus to eat. As it is not directly on the slopes, it is nor crowdy and has good food. Also it has great view. More

Loved the area and variety of skiing. We weren't so keen on the queue to come back to mayrhofen on the gondola. However we skied at different resorts on the pass so we didn't do this everyday and a couple of times we had a beer at the top before we came down so the rush had gone. More

Loved the size of the slopes and how many there was, we hit it when the sun was shining and by mid afternoon it was too hot and very slushy. Think some of the red runs were probably blacks. No Green runs. loved the fact the buses and train was free with ski pass to get to other piste's we... More

Get to the Penkenbahn early or you will be queing for hours. A good and varied ski area with plenty to keep you occupied for a day or two. The Harikiri at 78 degrees is good fun, but when icy be careful as it is a long slip to the bottom. You can alternatively sit in the sun at the... More
