We went there for the Guinness on tap, but we keep going back every year because of the great people and fun atmosphere. The owners and bartenders are all fun and welcoming, and the customers are mostly regulars; it's in the quarter, but it's far enough from Bourbon to avoid the mayhem. The drinks are great and reasonably priced; try... More

We were recently in New Orleans partying for St. Patty's Day and made a tour of the local Irish Pubs. Fahy's is nothing like the rest. Its more of a dive bar than anything resembling a genuine pub. The service we received there was horrible and disrespectful. The lazy blonde bartender made it quite obvious that she didn't want to... More

My husband and I stopped in for a nightcap on our way back to the hotel. We walked in on the bar holding a fundraiser, which we thought was nice. The drinks were reasonably priced, there was a pool table and everyone seemed to know one another. We met the two owners who really made the night more special. They... More

Stopped in for a drink on a recent Saturday night while barhopping down Burgundy; played a couple games each of pool and darts. Aside #1: barkeep supplied great bar darts, and even offered to sharpen them up after a couple bounce outs. He then produced a giant stone, and spent a few minutes sharpening each arrow--he obviously knew his way... More

We ducked in Fahy's after our cemetery tour because an afternoon thunderstorm began. It was a nice place to hang out while the rain passed over. What was especially nice is that they have cider and could make the draft snakebite I enjoy. They have two pool tables and that was fun. The bartender even pleased my friend when she... More

The guy bartender was disappointed with the dollar tip for pouring one drink...had a lot to say while my back was turned walking out the door. Needless to say I think their dog got served faster than we did! Overall the spot is a flat out dump...offers nothing to the New Orleans experience.

Friendly neighborhood place. Our hotel bar closed early, so we made Fahy's a nightly stop.

Just got back from Jazzfest and we were looking forward to revisiting Fahy's - one of our favorite local spots. My husband and I went in and ordered some drinks. we ended up moving spots (2 seats down). We needed to pay for our drinks so grabbed the attention of the bartender. Upon doing so the woman bartender (this was... More
