I am a new transplant and can tell you that I absolutely LOVE Algiers Point. We are in the process of restoring a double shotgun one block from the levee. The only problem with the levee is the amount of dog feces left on the levee by people who walk their dogs. (And there are a LOT of dogs here.)...

As a resident of Old Algiers Point, I can boast that our levee is New Orleans best-kept secret. It is the only view of the French Quarter and the CBD, and it was recently voted one of the best places to kiss! Watching the sun set behind the city is a wonderful way to end a hectic day.
