This is a beautiful zoo to enjoy. I loved the Komodo dragon and the white alligator. I would have given 5 stars but sometimes it was difficult to figure out where you were going.
The Zoo is very nice. With similar animals to other zoos, what sets this apart is the well-designed areas so that you can see everything in a logical and interesting way. Good, well-stocked restaurant as well. Easy to reach by street-car.
we always try and visit Zoos when we travel. We felt that thia zoo was very nice and visitor friendly
Size is manageable, flat so easy to walk. Attractive, and while not spacious, animals did not seem too restricted in their areas. Signs gave decent explanations of observed animals.

A whole day of fun for all. It's huge takes a whole day to see all.beautiful open spaces The food by the gators was good. Loved the gators they fed them while we were there.
everyone who works at the zoo that we talked to were proud they worked there. everything was clean. we ate by the main statue by the front gate thanks to a breezy day. this is a hidden treasure to people who visit new orleans but dont' have time to get out of the city.
Not really worth it. Maybe Im a little spoiled because I live by the world reknowned St. Louis zoo, but there are so many other cool and fun things to do in New Orleans than go to this tiny zoo with nothing out of the ordinary. Skip it and just do the Aquarium, which is excellent. Audubon Park is nice...

The staff is quite knowledgable and were readily available to answer questions with enthusiasm. There is construction going on which will make the zoo even...
