Well worth the winding drive up to see the beautiful view at the top. The rice terraces were just amazing to see and it was so peaceful. Truly a 'wow' moment. More

Jatiluwih has some of the best views of rice terraces in all of Bali (depending upon the time of the year.) I always ask the driver where the rice is almost ready to be harvested because that is when I feel it is most beautiful. I also like when they have just re-planted and flooded the fields so if I... Jatiluwih is an area with wide sweeping views of the terraces which are are steep and dramatic. Some of the fields may be golden with rice that is ready to harvest and some green with newly planted and immature rice. After the fields are harvested you can watch as they flood the fields and plant new rice. Around the rice... More
