Incredibly beautiful landscape, hills with huge baobabs, lots of wonderful elephants, unfortunately millions of tse tse flies after and during rainfalls! Really a place to visit but perhaps not in the rainy season because of the flies.

We spent two days in Tarangire and were very glad that we included it in our itinerary. We saw an incredible number of elephants in both large and small groups which was important to us. The landscape was varied and interesting and the park was not crowded at all.

The views alone are worth it but we also had close encounters with zebra and elephants which made it even more special. Absolutely a must do when on a Northern Circuit safari.

Wow, if you want to see elephants, this is the place to come. Last year I even saw wild dogs here - and the baobab trees are picture perfect. There are tse tse flies here, but it didn't deter me and it shouldn't deter you, this is a fact of life, and to miss it because of that, is doing...

The elephants are the show stoppers. Hundreds and hundreds of elephants grace the riverbanks, hills and grasslands - herds of all sizes. In Tarangire you have a chance to see these magnificent animals up close, and to truly be among them.

And the chance to be so close to wonderful animals. Especially good on the way into the parks when you might wait a while to see elephants on the Serengeti...
