Just a dog-leg up E. Market and N. Davie from the International Civil Rights Museum, a renovated church building houses the Greensboro Historical Museum (GHM). The GHM’s current “Voices of a City” exhibit begins with tweeting birds and the Native American heritage, and moves up through time to the present. Tracking civil rights, this exhibit does not shy from the... More

It was very interesting. Kids probably wouldn't like it much, but if you're interested in learning about the history of the city, it's fascinating. Staff extremely friendly. More

Why do people think that because they work in a museum they can treat people like a bother? The museum, while it contains a few interesting exhibits, isn't much different than any other historical museum. And why do the people that work in these gift shops treat you like a bother? We're in there to buy something, but if it's... More

This is a real surprise. You would not expect such great attractions at a local museum. The voices of the city exhibit tells the history of the Greensboro area from early settlements to modern day. Check out the Civil war exhibits. More

It is a three story museum that is focused on the history of events that has happened, with a focus on Greensboro (why not ?). It is clean, well kept, and a joy to go to ---- for a slow paced, quiet tour. Has a focus of 1750 to 1920 focus - which is nice. Enjoyed it. They do have... More

This museum was O.K., but maybe hat was because we were tired from traveling all day. Being a free museum, I can’t complain. The exhibits were fine and the staff friendly. I was a little annoyed that the most interested part of the museum (original, old buildings outside on the grounds) that I wanted to tour, we could not because... More
