I've lived in BK for the last 5 years. The promenade is great. Its relaxing and on a clear day you can see from Staten Island to the Bronx.

a different view of manhattan, a good view of the fulton street seaport and the old ships. a nice place to walk an old (1840's - 1889's) neighborhood ( the old brownstones that is).

The promenade is beautiful and a scenic view of NYC. Also Brooklyn Heights is a really beautiful historic neighborhood not to be missed.
It looks alot like Beacon Hill in Boston and sort of like Greenwich Village in the city of Ny.

The Brooklyn Heights Promenade had to have been one of the best surprises of our trip to NYC. We took the subway (#2 train) to the Clark St. station. We walked south on Henry St. to Montague St., taking Montague St. to the promenade. This walk was shorter than I imagined and there are other stations such as Court St....

We sat on one of the benches for almost an hour just admiring the Manhattan skyline. It's a million dollar view but you get to admire it for free from the promenade.
