We have seen many avant garde exhibits at the Brooklyn Museum. It is a large, high ceilinged, rich space and depending on whether the current exhibit is of interest to YOU, it is worth a trip. Brooklyn has many charms and wonderful spots to visit and should not be left off the tourism pat. More

Check to see about the Judy Chicago exhibit upstairs. Although you are in a borough of NYC, it's far from downtown Manhattan. So, go only if you have the time and transporation. More
