On a recent trip to NYC, we took the underground down to Brooklyn Bridge on a very sunny early saturday morning and walked over & then back again. The views from the bridge are amazing, just make sure you do not stray into the cycle lane when viewing as they are not keen to stop for you! Also the view... More

The Brooklyn Bridge has a foot path and is well protected from the traffic so you can stop and take in the marvelous view of New York city. It was within walking distance from the Best Western Plus Seaport Inn. More

Just a great New York thing to do! Excellent views, good exercise and it is a must to walk the bridge and get off on the other side and have pizza at Grimaldi's and have ice cream at the Brooklyn ice cream factory. The view from the pier looking back at Manhattan and the bridge just can't be beat. I... More

First time over the Brooklyn bridge myself despite living here all my life. Great stroll. Lots of people watching along the way. Great views of Manhattan and Brooklyn. More

My friend and I walked over the Brooklyn Bridge one Sunday and it was the most amazing walk! We walked from Manhattan to Brooklyn, after sightseeing in China Town. There is a pedestrian walkway all along the bridge so you don't have to worry about the traffic passing by. You can see views of the Statue of Liberty and the... More

Built in 1883 by an engineering genius John Roebling. It was the longest suspension bridge up until 1903, over 1,500 feet long. A beautiful bridge that never ceases to amaze and excite me each and every time I walk across from Manhattan to Brooklyn or Brooklyn to Manhattan. I prefer to walk the bridge in the early morning when there... More

We walked the bridge from Brooklyn to Manhattan. The view coming into Manhattan is better than going into Brooklyn. Our journey began from the Brooklyn Heights promenade to below the bridge on Front and Water streets and up to the bridge from the stairs on Washington St. The pedestrian walkway actually begins/ends at Tillary St. in Brooklyn several blocks south....
