Semi-pro ball is the best. The marketing of this team is wonderful. They understand that our national past time is suffering and they are actively courting new fans. Geyson Stadium is the home of the Sand Gnats, a minor league affiliate team of the NY Mets. We had my grandson's 10th birthday party there. They did a great experience for him. He threw out the first ball. He participated in some other things, and got great prizes. The stadium is quite dated tho.
I really love what the ownership of the team has done with this park. I know they want a new one downtown, but until that happens, the Landshark Landing is a great place to hang out and watch a game. Had a great night watching the Sand Gnats! Tickets were cheap. The food is good and not so overpriced. My son had a cheese steak and my daughter had the chicken fingers and fries. Well, if you like baseball you will love Grayson. I can not remember all the history here but I know shoeless Joe Jackson played on the field among others. Clean historic stadium and good clean fun for any one of any age. It can be hot and muggy but that is our weather so grab a cold beverage and relax.... More
