I am an outdoorsy person, but you could not spray enough bug repellant to fend off the mosquitoes at this place... And mammals are nice, but racoons that open your securely tied up trash bags of dirty laundry and drag off bags that don't even contain food? Just plain annoying. This is the only place we want to stay at the next time we are in Savannah. the campsites are clean, with a fire ring and picnic table. Great way to spend a few hours. Not very large, but about 6 miles of trails. Plenty of places to stop and have a quite and scenic lunch. Only saw a few other people when we were there, but did see a whole lot birds, and even a few deer.

Camping with your family? With a group? The park has campsites for all. The hiking and biking are great, the kids' animal museum is lots of fun. The park is quiet and just off the Intercoastal.
