I go to Savannah about every 3 to 4 months & Factors Walk is my first stop. So many restaurants & shops, plus just strolling along looking at the waterfront.

This is what Savannah was all about. Cotton and the resulting need for slaves. Read historical markers. Look at the Cotton Exchange Building where the world wide price of cotton was made daily. This area contains a nice collection of shops, restaurants and antique stores. We went here several times when we were visiting the city. Recommended.

Factors Walk is the upper part of Bay Street area and has diverse type of shops and some nice restaurants. Area to see when you come to Savannah.

I did a little on-line research before we visited. Fascinating history about the original purpose for this stretch of buildings. The exteriors have been kept very much like they were 150 years ago. Now, some nice little shops and still a beautiful waterfront. A short walk from other very nice attractions after parking nearer the market.

The olympia restaurant one of the few restaurants on river st patronized by locals is just under factors walk

You can well imagine how the factors and merchants must have conducted their business along this busy row before the Civil War.
