Many old gravestones dot the grounds of this old church. If you grab a bite at Lexington Market, you can walk over and explore the graveyard. More

A must-stop for Poe fans. It just takes a few minutes to see his grave and memorial. If you have extra time, take a bit to walk around church grounds and cemetery. Its a fascinating little place. Church was locked, so we couldn't see inside, which was disappointing, but we enjoyed stroll around the exterior. More

Not really much to see... just a tombstone. But it is close to Lexington Market, U of MD medical/dental school and accessible via light rail. Fun to visit but the mystery guy who puts flowers and wine on the grave on EAP's birthday has not shown for 2 years. More

Nestled at the corner of the busy intersection is a quiet little Abbey. To think that I find the grave site of one of the great American authors here! Nice. More

This site's legend may have outgrown reality, but it's still a small but unique piece of American literary history. It's in quite an unassuming and difficult-to-get-to location, but for anyone who is a Poe fan, it should be on The Bucket List. More

Edgar Allen Poe's grave should, admittedly, be a lot creepier. He should probably pop out of his grave a few times an hour to scare the bejeepers out of tourists. Instead, his grave is pretty modest for his stature in American literature. Glad that I saw it. The location, however, is awesome. Westminster Cemetery was orignally built far outside of... More

We visited Edgar Allan Poe's Grave Site and Memorial, which is located in the cemetery of Westminster Hall. There is street parking at a rate of $1.00/hour. His grave is the first you see on the right when you enter through the main gates. Was unsure of how safe the area was as there was a group of people loitering... More
