I stopped here on the way from Albuqueque to Phoenix. Interesting facts about the area and the history of Uranium Mining. Lots of mining artifacts and memoribilia, plus the best part is the mine simulation that you can take a tour of underneath the museum. Very cheap (3 bucks).

After viewing old pottery and rocks, we took an elevator and visited a recreation of a mine shaft. Each section has a button to press so you can hear an actual old-timer miner describe the function of what you're seeing. You get an appreciation of the risks and hard work of mining.
