This was a tragic incident that occurred at the Battle of Gettysburg. Jennie was caring for her sister and baking biscuits for the soldiers when a bullet punctured two doors and hit her in the back. She died shortly thereafter. This was an interesting tour and I recommend others to take it.

Expecting much more. The guide rammed info at us at a rate of speed so fast that I had a convulsion. My dad got his tongue stuck in a hole in the wall. The ghost stuff was freaky but fake. Tried to use toilet but was told that it was out of order unless I had a quarter. Hogwash!

A very good 45 minute tour. You need to learn about the life of the only civilian casualty of the battle. The tour will give lots of facts about Jennie Wade and the history of the house. It is not a silly ghost tour.

We really got the feel of what it was like for civilians during the Civil War. The houses were so small, it made our children appreciate today.

Nothing out of this world, but interesting information. We were able to learn about Jennie Wade and her family and see where she was hit with a fatal bullet. We were able to get a different perspective of the war.

We were hoping for a better experience than we had. The guide seemed to phoney and unprofessional. Seemed like tips were the only thing that was important. I thought that by going inside a building we would have had a better time...WRONG. WE couldn't wait for it to end and the couple that was standing next to us were complaining... More

The house is commercialized but the tour is informative and interesting. She was the only civilian killed at Gettysburg during the battle.

It's a small, but interesting little house. There wasn't a while lot to it, but the tour was fun. It's self guided and covers three stories in the house (including the basement).

Make this one of your stops on your tour of Gettysburg. It describes what the town folk went through during this battle. The only drawback is, a hotel is planted right next to the house. That is quite a shame.

I really enjoyed the historical part of the tour as it was interesting and sad at the same time. You can almost feel Jennie's spirit in the house. I have been on the ghost tour at night too and it was great. It gives you a different side of what happened in the house and what still could be happening... More
