As lifelong Philadelphia residents, my husband and I, and the 2 couples who came with us, enjoyed seeing our city in a different light (or would that be dark?) One of us even got a picture which later revealed a ghostly figure! We learned a few things we didn't know and grew in appreciation for the role Philadelphia played in... More

My wife and I had a great night in the city we stared out at the Bourse. Then walked down to Market street ans had a great German dinner and some beer before heading out heading out on our spirit of 76 tour our tour guide Andrew I believe it was, was entertaining and informative he would field questions on... I've been on several ghost tours in other cities and this one fell short. The group was oversized at over 35 people in the group. Between the cars driving by & the large group, it was hard to hear the tour guide. One suggestion, wait until everyone in the group is at the location before starting the story. Some people... More

I took this tour with my hubby and another couple. It was fun to hear some stories from the darker side of philadelphia's history. This is a very good/ fun way to introduce history to children and teens. Wear comfortable walking shoes. The tour moves quickly- so this may not be ideal for seniors, small children expected to walk, or... More

We've been on many ghost tours and with Philadelphia being such a historical city, we had high hopes for this one. The stories that our guide told were good, but she was a little goofy and way too practiced in her storytelling. I felt like I was listening to a teenager. Still, it was a good mix of historical tales... More

We did this tour since it was part of a combo (with the Constitutional walking tour). I guess you can only do it on the same day if do a combo and glad we did just have all the information all at once. Our first day in Philly we did the combo tours. The Constitutional one we loved. So was... More

Have been on many ghost tours in many cities. It is nearly all about the guide and the storytelling to make the 'ghost' part fun. Places like Philly can withstand avg guides to a degree when only history is involved. To that end, I toured with the delightful and entertaining Caroline (also easy to hear from a distance, important). She... More

So much history in Philadelphia! Our guide did a great job telling "ghost stories" and was very informed. Enjoyed learning about the city and some of the more grim aspects. Definitely recommend.

Great tour, very informative, and learned a lot about different historic spots. However...I brought a copy of the map with me that they have on their website and was a bit disappointed that quite a few spots listed on the map were completely skipped over (some we didn't even walk past at all, let alone hear anything about). On the... More

Thanks so much for your review. I'd like to know what date/time you took the tour, as well as who your guide was. Could you also let me know which stops along the tour were skipped so I can look into this further? Anyway, I am glad you got some good pictures of orbs. We'd love you to post them... More

This tour really ruined our night. We had just gotten into town and went to our hotel to unpack for a bit before heading out for this tour. It was a rainy and cold night, but we had already purchased tickets so we decided to just go. The listing says that you meet at Così Restaurant, and when my husband... More
