South Street below 10th was very very good. There is a lot of vibe in the area - cafes, bars, tattoo parlours and other crafty like shops. It is a very vibrant part of the city - a little dirty, but very cool.

You want to wander along, stop in the shops, watch the people, eat, and visit the side streets.

Wow! Glad we went there and saw the neighborhood but glad we didn't stay there. All sorts of people watching to be had. Wild shops and bars. Yet, one or two blocks to the north in Society Hill it is so quiet and clean you'd never guess gritty South Street chaos was closeby.

My son and I visited South Street for the first time on a Saturday night because it was referred to as "the famous South Street" and my 15-yr-old son wanted to eat at Johnny Rockets. There was a LOT of people on the street that night and some looked pretty creepy, but it's not really any different than similar roads...
