The western half of South Street has some great bars and restaurants too, and the skyline view from the South Street Bridge can't be beat. More

It is a nice stroll up, over and down South Street. You never know what new stores open and there's always a restaurant or bar to pop in. More

South Street below 10th was very very good. There is a lot of vibe in the area - cafes, bars, tattoo parlours and other crafty like shops. It is a very vibrant part of the city - a little dirty, but very cool. More

Wow! Glad we went there and saw the neighborhood but glad we didn't stay there. All sorts of people watching to be had. Wild shops and bars. Yet, one or two blocks to the north in Society Hill it is so quiet and clean you'd never guess gritty South Street chaos was closeby. More

My son and I visited South Street for the first time on a Saturday night because it was referred to as "the famous South Street" and my 15-yr-old son wanted to eat at Johnny Rockets. There was a LOT of people on the street that night and some looked pretty creepy, but it's not really any different than similar roads... More

South Street is iconic Philadelphia, with interesting shops and restaurants. It leads directly to Penn's Landing by a bridge across the busy highway, to a view of the water and ships, some of which can be visited. For some reason there are a number of stores offering Irish food items, Irish groceries, and in addition several Irish pub/restaurants. Also a... More
