A great place for a walk on good paths to view a variety of habitats from grassland to river valley. Good bookstore, very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Lots of feeders for viewing birds. More

The San Pedro house is just a short walk from the San Pedro River. Imagine, running water right here in the desert. We spent about two hours hiking. We saw some Vermilion Flycatchers by the river but also a wide variety of birds near the visitor center. The bookstore there is excellent and the staff were excellent in helping us identify the birds we had taken pictures of. More

Easy place to meander, and see birds, deer and the vibrancy of a river in an otherwise arid ecosystem. You could spend an hour or four hours. More
