I didn't want to leave. The high line doesn't just sound like a good idea, it really IS a great idea. The views are spectacular, the vegetation is well cared for. There are plenty of places to just sit and enjoy the birds and people watch, More

This wonderful long skinny park located on abandoned rail lines that run north and south from the Meat Packing district to Lower West Side is well worth the visit. More

Simply a stunning piece of urban regeneration. The High Line is beautiful, stylish, green, casual & busy. Fantastic plantings work well with the more creative design elements, there is always something to surprise and impress you with every block you walk. And if the park doesn't impress you then the views surely will! More

The concierge at the hotel recommended, and I had the time... If you are tired of shopping, and the noise, and the crowded streets, thats the place you should go to. Take your time (I spent there 2 hours), and enjoy yourself. I've entered at West 30th Street (elevator access), and walked all the way to Gansevoort Street. It was... More

I assume that this is the garden walk that was built on the abandoned railroad. The gardens were beautiful There were also some very beautiful, artistic features, like bird feeders. The shapes were like sculptures and very intriguing. The views of the water were mesmerizing, like nothing you could see on any walk on the sidewalks. There were some comical... More

I lived along this line years and years ago and it was a terrible eyesore. I was stunned when I bumped into it on this trip and realized that finally NY was learning to do with old artifacts like this what Europeans and Canadians have known for years; clean them up and reuse them. Fabulous! More
