Go to the one in Brooklyn. It has all the same deals as the location in Times Square, but the one in Brooklyn opens at 11 am (instead of 3 pm) and has very short lines. Take the subway to Jay St/MetroTech station, and the TKTS booth is right across the steet. The subway ride takes far less time than... More

Apart from the booth located in Times Square, they have another one located at the corner of Front and John Streets which opens earlier (i.e. at 11am). While you are in line, they have agents passing by and answering all your questions about the shows and giving advice on what is suitable for children, what is popular, what shows they... More

When I want to see a Broadway show I almost always buy the tickets at TKTS. I’m relatively flexible in my choices so it works well for me. Here’s my routine 1. Before going, I write up a document of shows that are playing on Broadway that I have an interest in seeing and check the TDF site http://www.tdf.org/TDF_ShowsSearchResults.aspx to... More

This is really the way to get to see Broadway shows when in NYC. Their booth sits at the top of Times Square behind the red stairs. Same day tickets are sold for both matinees (where applicable) and evening shows. Matinee shows are sold at 10:00am and evening shows at 3:00pm. Plan to arrive an hour before to avoid the... More

Don't let the long lines scare you off. The line moves quickly. Lots of shows to choose from but most popular shows may not be available. Download free TKTS app for mobile phone (with free WiFi in Times Square) to see up to the minute listing of available shows. Remain flexible and you'll find tickets for a reasonable price. If... Cons: Wish they opened earlier. LONG line May not get the seats you want (i.e. orchestra vs mezzanine, etc.) - research the venues so you can get a good seat without feeling 'had' - caution some ORC seats can have obscured views and that might be why they are up for grabs day of show. Probably won't have tickets for... More

We went to TKTS at Times Square around 5 pm, waited for no more than 15 min. and got tickets for the play of our choice for 40% off. Great deal with no hassle! More

They changed how to get tickets. Only one side is used for musicals. There was no info telling anyone that and about 70 of us were on the wrong side of the tkts center and then had to go in the back of the other side once a man working there with very poor English skills tried to explain how... Dear Luvnilfe~ I'm sorry to hear you had a confusing experience at our Times Square booth. From your description, it sounds as if you visited us on a Sunday. On Sundays, we often do not have enough of a crowd to justify opening both sides of the booth for general sales. However, our "Play Express" line is always open during... More
