If you are a fan of the 'Friends' TV series then you can't go to New York without going to Bloomingdale's or at least having your photo taken outside! It is, however ,rather expensive and not for the casual shopper as it's way too big so you need a certain stamina to get around it. Not as impressive as Harrods... More

It is a must visit, however the majority of things were out of my budget. There are loads of offers on though so before you work out how much something will cost, you may need to take 15% off or something like that.

It is good with plenty of brands. You can go to visitor center at second floor to get a 10% off coupon with passport. That allows you to enjoy 10% for all of the purchase, except Cosmetics, etc. Some discount could be found for some brands.

I went into Bloomingdales, with great expectations. Within 3 minutes of being there, we were approached by a rather aggressive sales person for Clarins. She told us they were promoting the 'new' double serum. When I told her I had this product, she told me thats not possible as its not out yet in England, I told her that I... More

I was looking around in the jewelry section looking to purchase another item when I came across a counter. The sales lady was attentive, but was eager to sale me something, which I understand. Then I decided to make a purchase, but her register would not work so she took me to another sales girl and said she will cash... More

A fabulous girlie day shopping, in cosmetics experienced a makeover, treated myself to some perfume and saved £'s in the jewellery section. Great personal service throughout couldn't fault a thing.

Bloomingdales is a high end store and you can end up shopping till you drop if the sales are on. First thing to do if you are an international visitor is to go to customer services where we told that if we spent a certain amount then we would be entitled to some gifts. This is in contrast with Macys... More

If you go to New York you have to visit Bloomingdale's.....Although it is expensive, there are bargains to be found and with 9 floors you are bound to find something to get a little, medium or big brown bag that they are famous for.......you need lots of time to browse a shopaholics dream :-)

Our favourite of all the stores we visited. The Visitor Desk was very helpful. We spoke with Lorena and she was brilliant. As in all stores a lot of the products seem to be excluded from visitor discount but it is a bright clean and nice store with plenty to explore
