We went there as we had the New York Pass and were entitled to a free bike ride. Bear in mind that the free bike is a beach bike, meaning there are no brakes- definitely not suitable if you are planning to ride around the city. However, upgrades are available for only $5. The staff were extremely helpful, giving us... More

My wife and I rode around manhattan island. We chose to do it on a Sunday as there is much less traffic. We biked across Brooklyn Bridge then took the ferry to UN building. It was a great day out.

We rented the bikes for a few hours, but next time I would definitely make this a whole day. The staff at this bikes store were very helpful, even though they had been without electricity for 2 weeks already after Sandy hit. The bikes we got were good: seven gear , easy adjustable saddles and a basket on the front.... More

After 2 days walking around NY, we were ready for something different and going on a bike proved just the right thing to do : relief for our feet and a different view of Manhattan. We started the day by walking on the High Line (entrance at Gansevoort) and then we walked to Pier 78 (10-15 min from the end... More

These bike rentals are included in your New York Pass. If you are not sure what that is, make sure you look into it and purchase one! We hired bikes from this company at South Street Seaport. From the moment we approached the friendly staff we felt welcome. They explained what was included in the NY pass and what we... More

Excellent bikes, upgrade to the geared bikes for $10 if your on NYC Pass although its flat in most areas it helps going over the bridges. The guys down at Pier 17 were a great help with directions and having the bike for 24 hours makes for a very stress free time. I got a kick out of zooming past... More

Discover Manhattan by bike! It's easy and not so dangerous as you might think. There's a green bicycle-lane around and through Manhattan, so you don't have to deal with dense traffic all the time. Bike the Brooklin-bridge and return via Manhattan bridge. The east-side-river bike-path is rather uninteresting but the broadway-bike-path is amazing! Didn't bike the Hudson-side bike-path, so no... They had great maps, bikes, helmets and service. They adjusted the bikes to make sure they fit us then gave clear directions for us to go over the Brooklyn bridge down to Coney Island We've used them in San Francisco and were great there and were happy the NYC location worked out as well Well don Blazing Saddles!

We tried a few bike rental places in NY and this was by far the best thanks to the staff. We went to the Seaport location as this was included on our New York Pass They were friendly and took a lot of care to make sure we had everything we needed. They suggested riding the bike around the pier... More

Stick to the better conditioned bikes at stationed bike rental places. No fuss rental but the map is pathetic.
