Wonderful choir, beautiful traditional service, incredible sculpture above the high altar. My counter says this is more than fifty characters, but what do I know?

I had the opportunity of experiencing "Evensong" at St. Thomas on 5th Ave while walking around Manhattan. It was an amazing and humbling experience. As an Anglican, it was inspiring to hear the boys & mens choir deliver the pieces of Evensong with absolute class and quality. Their diction was amazing...and sound clarity was just awesome. This is not usually...

By accident we found this awesome church as we walked along Fifth Avenue. Once inside we were overwhelmed by the size, the beauty and the altar. St. Thomas has one of the best boys choirs in the world as well. It has three organs with one having over 9000 pipes. We decided to attend the 11 am service on Sunday...

My wife and I attended the Sunday morning eucharist at 11am, The church is impressive enough but to experience the true majesty of this place, join one of the many services throughout the week. The choir is very impressive and the clergy are very professional with great clarity of speech helped by an effective sound system. The day we were...

The most noteworthy feature for me about St. Thomas is not its glorious building, or its breathtaking sumptuous decorations and deeply spiritual High Anglican services. The world-class choir of men and boys, under the direction of John Scott, continues to be not just one of the finest church choirs in New York City, but one of the few great boys...

We had passed this many times before I had never stopped in. We were staying nearby and decided to give this a look. We had to stop in the nearby St. Patrick's Cathedral but never Visited this church. We realized that we missed a lot by not visiting this. This is a beautiful example of a Gothic cathedral and since...

The Anglican representation in St. Thomas isn't a gimmick; it's the true essence of the church and its practice. Close your eyes and you're attending Evensong in Cambridge, England, or Bath, Chester, Oxford, or any other cathedral city. While I wish there were a place for girl choristers in the choir so they may participate in the excellent music program...

Walking up 5th Avenue many years ago I wandered into this church & was greatly impressed. Since then I consider it "my" church whenever I am in NYC & always visit it. It is such a contrast to St. Patrick's where there is always a crowd. I have never been there at the right time to attend a service, but...

While St Thomas Church does not have the notoriety nor the grandiosity of St. Patrick's Cathedral which is located across the street and a couple of blocks south on Fifth Avenue, this church is a must see among the churches of NYC.
I visit anytime that I am in the area and, every single time, am taken with the beauty...

This French gothic church is stunning, I walked in by chance out of curiosity and what a surprise. It was such a magical moment, completely empty and the amazing sound of the organ. 20 mins of unexpected peace on hectic 5th avenue. Very well maintained.
