This is not a luxury spa but it is a wonderful experience all the same. The steam rooms and saunas are hot, the chilled pool is ice cold and the employees are eager to help novices through the experience. After a serious day of sight seeing this is nirvana for tired limbs. Avoid the package with a mud rub, it... More

This was a highlight of a quick trip to NYC. I never would have known about it if I weren't traveling with a former NYC resident. Next time I will bring my own flip flops and stay for lunch, and maybe even get the Platza Oak Leaf "treatment". Be sure to get the mud mask or salt scrub (or both)... More

I went there last Thursday and I have a great time with my man. You must be open minded and just don´t expect a high class spa. But the experience is worth it, I had a mud treatment with Victor which I highly recommend it and my man took a Platza and after that he felt like new reborn. Don´t... More

For a traditional experience it is nice, but place can get dirty with litter. More

Dirty, super dirty, orrible, old, stinky and really unkind... A place that must be close immediatly! No other words to explain how bad experience it was! We were there in october, it was snowing and our massage room was outside... We cross an outside terrace naked, under the snow, no way! Of course it was not the worst thing... The... More

So many things can be said about the Russian & Turkish Baths--both good and bad--but the bottom line is this: it should be experienced at least once. This is "no frills" all the way, but if you go in with an open mind (and a bathing suit and thongs) and treat it like theater, you should find yourself entertained. On... More

Been going here for years now, and it's feels like something from a Russian gangster movie, namely it is a very authentic experience. It's not the cleanest place in the city, but you get a great mix of people, and come out totally relaxed and refreshed. If you want the full experience, have the platza (oak leaf scrub) but watch... Excellent place to relax and chill in New York. Bring your bathing shorts, some days are only for woman, check in advance. Very packed in weekends, and they fill up the place - belive you me! The place looks a bit old, but the saunas are excellent. Many of them, and good massage upstairs. CAUTION! They have 4-5-6 "therapist" offering... More

First, let me start this review by saying that I never get any body work here. My girlfriend and I have been going for years for the various saunas and loving it. Specifics It costs $25 to stay at the baths as long as you want. It is always coed except for Sunday morning when it is men only and... More

Certain Russian "therapists" working there are extremely aggressive. Be sure your massage therapist is licensed. Don't let the run down appearance ruin the experience, the heat is wonderful, and compared to prices elsewhere it is a good deal. More
