we went early (9am) on a timed ticket on the first sail of the day. The whole operation was well organised and we were loaded and unloaded quickly at both docks. I imagine it could get chaotic later in the day so I would always recommend the first sail to avoid delays. More

We bought our timed tickets online in advance, and had zero wait time to get in. I would also recommend going either earlier in the day or later in the afternoon--it tends to be less crowded. Battery Park makes for a fun place to stroll around if you're a bit early. The ships were clean and well maintained. We went... More

You get tickets to Liberty/Staten Island (where the Statue of Liberty is) and also Ellis Island (where the early immigration happened), but if you after 3pm like we did then you run the risk of not being able to see Ellis Island because they won't run more boats to it. We still got to get off on the island with... More

If the park service let another company run ferries to the the statue we would choose them. The lack of competition has let the employees of the company feel free to treat guests like complete garbage, It is really unfortunate because they are ambassadors to not only their city, but our country. People from all over the world show up... More

We saved a LOT of time by having printed out, priority tickets that have a specific time. Although the "flex" tickets don't tie you down to a specific time if you are worried about missing your printed time, flex spends a large amount of time in a VERY long line that only moves after priority, timed tickets board the shuttle... This is a must see for everyone living in the US today!! We had timed tickets, and got there about an hour early to go through security and got right onto our cruise ship! Saw great views of the skyline as well as the statue on the cruise to the Island. We did a lap around the statue and took... More

The Statue Cruise starts at Battery Park. The queues are very long and very slow! There is airport style security, which slows the process even further. Onceyou're on the ferry you are taken to Liberty Island. There are extensive renovations at the moment, so there is no access to the monument. The ferry then takes you to the Ellis Island Immigration... More

We got to Battery park to enquire about the ferry to liberty island and ellis island. The ticket stall were closed, so we went to their shop beside them. The guy at the counter was drinking a soda and as we approached him, he wouldnt even turn to us. He looked out corner of his eye. My girlfriend went to... More

We took the ferry over to Liberty Island to see the statue. Had to line up for ages in the cold open air even after the official opening hour for the ferry. Once on the island we did a lap and took pictures, they have a souvenir shop with plenty of goodies. More
