Just across the road is a public seating area to rest your tired feet as you take in the view and get a great photo or two. More

This is a signature architectural style and thus worth at least passing by to see it. It's right above the subway stop so you can see it without having to walk far. More

The flat iron building was a fore runner for all subsequent skyscrapers. It was one of the very earliest iron frame buildings that proved to be strong enough to build UP and UP. The building has an interesting shape and structure and is in a lovely neighborhood for walking so if you are at all interested in architecture, this is... More

This area is where a tour we took stopped for lunch. Great pedestrian friendly area. Ate at the Eatalia, then sat outside in sun at tables and chairs placed in a blocked street area across from Madison Park, now converted to a lounging area by adding potted greenery, metal tables & chairs. What a great addition to New York these... More

This architectural oddity has grace and dignity. And the neighborhood to which it gives its name is now filled with hot bars and restaurants. More

What a magnificent building! I love the gold clock too! It's so easy to get there by tube - 23 Str on line N & R. There's a Madison Square Park near by & many shops & places to eat. Just on the left side there's a huge Walgreens pharmacy & a good Vitamins shop on the corner. Boots eat... More

I want my ashes placed in two spots: Madison Square Garden and the Flatiron Building. I guess the building does resemble an iron as they say in the lead TripAdvisor review, but to me it looks like an image of a ghostly clipper ship especially at night and in fog as depicted in some of the iconic photographs of the...
